  I'm also moving soon to Vancouver from Milan, expecting a better welfare, more sustainability and a decent job.

  what are you into? your profile doesn't tell us much about you.
  
  if you have a bicycle or can borrow one (and don't mind riding in inclement weather), critical mass is friday evening starting at the art gallery - www.bikesexual.org/cm/home.htm .
  
  saturday afternoons you can usually find some hoopers, jugglers and poi spinners at robson square between 2ish and 4ish. they're a friendly bunch.
  
  but that's just what i'm into. :)

    vancouver is pretty diverse. there will be some sort of scene for almost anything you are into but it really depends what you are into...
